Having inserted the multi-well crystallisation plate, all further user interaction with the PX Scanner is via the CRYSTALEYES software.

CRYSTALEYES can be used in online mode for control of the PX Scanner instrument, or offline mode for the review of previously recorded optical and X-ray data.

Designed around an easy to use graphical user interface CRYSTALEYES allows:

• Optical imaging of the entire plate or selected wells/drops
• Point and click mouse selection of objects for in-situ X-ray study
• Secure login and data storage
• Full device control and logging
• Results export as an HTML report

Once a suitable crystal has been identified in-situ, the crystal can be looped out and an extended protein screening experiment or full data collection made using the optional Phi Axis.
