Oxford Diffraction announces senior appointmentsOxford Diffraction announces the recruitment of a new Sales Director and the appointment of its current Sales Director as President of its growing US subsidiaryOxford Diffraction is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Wood as the company’s Sales Director, starting today. Steve Wood has a strong background in the analytical instrumentation industry with over 20 years of experience in a global scientific company Oxford Instruments. Steve’s last position in Oxford Instruments was as the International Sales Manager. Paul Loeffen, the CEO of Oxford Diffraction, said “We are all delighted that Steve has joined us as we have known him for many years and we all have a great deal of respect for his integrity and capabilities. He will be a great asset to the team”. Steve Wood fills the vacancy left by Richard Foster-Turner who has moved to the USA to accept the appointment as President of Oxford Diffraction, Inc., the company’s US subsidiary. Richard’s appointment coincides with the opening of Oxford Diffraction, Inc.’s new North American headquarters in Blacksburg, Virginia. Oxford Diffraction selected Blacksburg, VA in order to take advantage of the extremely strong links the company has built with Virginia Tech, and in particular, with VTX, the Virginia Tech Crystallography Laboratory. Oxford Diffraction, Inc.’s headquarters will be on the Corporate Research Center which is located in close proximity to VTX. The appointment of Richard Foster-Turner as President and the relocation to Blacksburg will enable Oxford Diffraction to better manage its ongoing growth in North America and to greatly expand its demonstration capability. Richard Foster-Turner commented “ This is an exciting opportunity for us to take the development of our North American business to the next level, and proximity to Virginia Tech will allow us to build on the excellent collaboration we already have there. ”
