Oxford Diffraction release their new CrysAlisPro software for automated data collection and reductionOxford Diffraction is proud to announce the release of its new CrysAlisPro software. Easy to use and intuitive the CrysAlisPro graphical user interface is the first software package to provide fully automated data collection and parallel data reduction.CrysAlisPro provides a range of automatic and specialist crystallographic software tools which can be used interchangeably. Built around an intelligent strategy module and sophisticated profile fitting data reduction routines, CrysAlisPro automatically screens crystals for diffraction quality and determines the optimum data collection experiment. The user can simply accept the proposed strategy or design their own. Developed by Oxford Diffraction’s in-house software team, CrysAlisPro is the latest in a range of innovative products which have been designed to make X-ray diffraction easier. Mathias Meyer, Applications Software Manager, Oxford Diffraction said, “CrysAlisPro was developed following extensive user consultation to ensure a user friendly and intuitive system which is compatible with our >100 installed CCD systems. CrysAlisPro employs our newly developed profile fitting algorithms for data reduction and as such provides superb data quality, whether it’s for routine structure analysis or specialist data collections such as electron density studies.” A number of our customers have already commented on the new release of CrysAlisPro.Amy Sarjeant, at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore (USA), said “This software really is impressive,” and Michal Dusek, at the Institute of Physics, Prague (Czech Republic) added “CrysAlisPro is an excellent improvement, I didn’t read any instructions and I could use it intuitively”. CrysAlisPro is now available on general release with Oxford Diffraction continuing its policy of free multi-site, multi-user software licences. CrysAlisPro is compatible with Oxford Diffraction’s range of Xcalibur and Gemini CCD diffractometers and is available to all its customers for download from its website at http://www.oxford-diffraction.com/software_updates.asp. |
